Also, if you've never been to WWDC, it's definitely an experience that's worthwhile experiencing at least once if you can afford it. Also, if you have any desire to build iPhone apps that interact with WO apps, the iPhone sessions will certainly be worthwhile.

Hi,

I suggest that you wait for the first schedule to come out, to see how much WO sessions we will get this year. If it's still two sessions like 2007 and 2008. If you don't develop with Cocoa or other Apple tech, you are right WWDC cost a lot for two sessions, unless you are uncertain about WO future, by doing to WWDC you will know.

WWDC also have labs, so it's good place to ask questions. And we also had a "Bird of the feathers" session last year where people demoed some apps.

We're looking at coming over for WOWODC West this year. We're debating
whether to just come for WOWODC, or whether to stick around for WWDC
as well (never been to either before)

Just wondering what the general opinion is on the value of WWDC for
WebObjects people ? Given that there is usually only a couple of
sessions, the ticket price feels a bit heavy!

Hello everyone,

Before people start asking for it, yes we plan to have WOWODC again this
year. In fact, we are planning TWO WOWODC this year!

First one, WOWODC West will be for advanced topics

      - Maven
      - Integration with Cocoa
      - Advanced EOF
      - Direct2Web
      - Other topics (we still need additionnal presenters!)

Like WOWODC 2007 and 2008, WOWODC West will be held the week-end before
WWDC, so it will be June 6th/7th. We don't know where it will be, current
choices are the Whitcomb, Parc 55 or Palace hotels. We are trying to get a
block of sleeping rooms, so wait before make reservations for your room, we
might get a good deal.

WOWODC East will be held in downtown Montreal on August 29th/30th. This one
will be for novice developers. Topics should be

      - Creating reusable components and understanding bindings
      - EOEditingContext best practices
      - Architecting a project for success
      - Using Project Wonder so you don't pull your hair out
      - Prototypes, Migrations and EOGeneration

More details next week.
