[OT]httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name

  • Subject: [OT]httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name

I'm running MacOSX Server 10.5 with 3 deployed WebObject applications.

Below is the error line I'm trying to fix, which is working backward from the original problem of being a compliant slave/secondary DNS server.

httpd: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for cwd.private
httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName

I use ServerAdmin for all but the DNS configuration, I decline the Upgrade dialog option for four clicks every-time I stop and start the DNS service.
I edited <httpd.conf>, which was the general solution I saw for this problem on the web: and restarted and then rebooted and I see no difference, I used:

ServerName www.cascadewebdesign.com
