Very interesting Lachlan ..... I had gone a different route (created
an EODatabaseDataSource composed of a non-autolocking ec and fetchspec
with the fs/qualifier/eo-values faulted into that EODataSource's ec
and passing the EODataSource to the background task)..... however once
I get finished my current task on hand, I will revisit and definitely
try this excellent suggestion, unless someone tells us why this would
not work :-)
