There was a bit of double-negative going on there which can be confusing.

I think what he was trying to say is that just because wotaskd and womonitor are no longer installed by default, that doesn't mean that they no longer the best way to run WebObjects.

Of course "Best" is going to be different for different situations. I think servlet deployments are a very important option for WO deployment and they should be considered first-class citizens, but there just aren't as many people out there doing it.
