There will be a WO action and a JS function called when the upload is complete. You can use those to do whatever you wish with the uploaded file.

I just looked a the implementation for the AjaxUploadRequestHandler and there is a global value for maximum upload size. There is also a progress state object AjaxUploadProgress which is per upload, I suppose I could add an upload size value there that could override the global one.
