I'm guessing that they will provide a CoreData API, an EOModel API and a mailing list filled with WO experts some of whom have some experience in building the existing dev tools.

Beyond that, I'm guessing they won't stand in the way.

I hope that doesn't sound pessimistic. It's not supposed to be...
