Uhhhhhhnggggg....what? Oh. Sorry. I was wiping the drool off my lip.

I think the size of the file is a red herring. I've seen generally inconsistent behavior from the component. Sometimes the size restriction works as expected, other times it fails as Andrew described, but once it fails, it continues to fail until you restart the application. It's not file-type specific either as far as I can tell since it both failed and worked with several different kinds of files (pdf, dmg, txt, etc).

To me the fact that it properly handles the oversized file, but then updates to the in-progress state smacks of the update container getting refreshed to a previous state. Not sure how that would happen though, and I am not even remotely skilled with JS. As a matter of fact, I'd say I'm downright ... slow with it.
