problem with AjaxDatePicker solved...

ok I found the problem….

If IE8 is in compatibility mode, then the AjaxDatePicker doesn't work 100% with the previously mentioned caveats. (it does work on an AMD whether or not you are in compatibility mode.)

There is an open Jira that I guess could be closed.

Interesting that it works on the AMD but not on the parent component.
