Back to the originally scheduled problem, I configured the app to run through Apache, and not DirectConnect (even though I need to re-load multiple times because of the "No Instance Available" issue from the other thread), once I finally get to the appropriate subcomponent, I load the same displayGroup with 12 items, and batches of 10, and the first time it does in fact load the navigation (a subclass of AjaxFlickrBatchNavigation). It still does not show the first time on the development server or the QA server. (need to click "Update" before it shows the first time.
