Thanks for your suggestion Kieran. At the moment I am just invoking ec.refreshAllObjects(); Will update the code as advised and try out!

Off the top of my head, I would think something like this:

ec.setFetchTimestamp( System.currentTimeMillis() );
ec.refreshAllObjects();
