If it has WO installed on it and it is for _development_, I think you would be in violation of the license. You would nee to use something like Mike's woinstaller.jar to allow the end user to download WO from Apple.

This ia fully configured version of Ubuntu 9.1 and Windows XP virtual machine. They become virtual appliances when you distribute them.

They would be a turnkey development environment for anyone who wants to start developing with WebObjects using WOLips, without the hassle of having to setup the environment. It is already setup.

WO Apps should be built embedded in the first place, so one should only be concerned with the deployment env. And this is free for deployment anywhere where it compiles?

But what would one do with such an image? Is it like

(which is neat, btw)

Hello;

I have created two virtual appliances that I use for WebObjects development. I was wondering if they would be of interest to anyone. I have an Unbuntu instalation of Eclipse Ganymede and WOLips and a Windows installation of Eclipse and Ganymede.

I do not see an issue with distributing the Ubuntu version of the virtual appliance. The Windows version, the person downloading would have to have a Windows XP Key when they first login to the appliance to register windows.

Does this sound like something the community can use? Or am I setting myself up for a licensing issue with Apple?

Don
