Is there a User pattern/framework out there?

Hello -

I was looking through wonder et al and noticed a People class.

Where is this used? Is there a framework out there that handles the usual:

login
forget password
email validation
password validation
etc

I am surprised to not see that as part of Wonder or such.

Thanks
James
