I get a weird behavior. The dialog now appears but instead of
rendering my page with pageName,
it shows a "edit" link. That then links and pops up my edit page
with not current object.
Thoughts?
Not without seeing what you are actually doing.

Hmmm
So I created a component for my dialog. I put the AjaxModalDialog
in component that holds the ajax grid that way
it would be outside the repetition.
Not clear what you are describing there.
Now I need to call it with AjaxModalDialogOpener from the grid
cell controller... is that correct?
"grid cell controller"?
If so how does it know and/or how do I pass the current object
into it for it to do its rendering?
The AjaxModalDialogOpener goes in a component that is used to
render a cell. The AjaxGrid JavaDocs explain how to access the row
data.

Did you define the AjaxModalDialog? Lots of pieces to co-
ordinate here. Check AjaxExamples.

Hmm.
I click and nothing happens.. no popup, no error in any console.
It does fire my action method:
public AdminEditFestivalArtist selectFestivalArtistToEdit() {
AdminEditFestivalArtist nextPage =
(AdminEditFestivalArtist)pageWithName("AdminEditFestivalArtist");
FestivalArtist fa =
(FestivalArtist
)grid
.displayGroup
().allObjects
().objectAtIndex
(grid.displayGroup().allObjects().indexOfObject(grid.row()));
((Session)session()).setCurrentFestivalArtist(fa);
nextPage.setTheFestivalArtist(fa);
return nextPage;
}
Is that not correct?
Thanks

Hello -
I am using AjaxGrid and that works great. I can even
communicate to it, etc.
However, now I want to create a link to popup a modal edit
window. I am
confused on what link to use. I would prefer it to render a
page after loading
vs. putting hundreds of forms inline for each repetition.
What is the proper way to do this?
thanks
James
