Encode HTML in Java and decode in other API

Hi Group,

Do we have any API in WO / PWO that can Encode HTML entities like: & < > <br/> and so on something like: common-lang StringEscapeUtils#escapeHtml(...) method.

The encoded content would need to be decoded by other API like browser or PDF and so on. I hope the encoding is does in standard way so, any API should be able to decode it! Correct me, if am wrong.
