[JOB] Global Village Consulting (Chuck) looking for WO developer

Hi,

We want to add another WebObjects developer to our staff. Is anyone out there interested?

What I am looking for
I'd prefer someone more senior to less senior in terms of overall IT experience. I'd prefer someone with enough experience to lead a multi- person development team. I'd like you know know WO fairly well, but I am willing to trade off WO knowledge for more general IT experience: I can increase your WO skills, but I can't give you more experience. The one difficult part here is that I want you to live in Canada. I don't care where in Canada, but living in Canada makes taxes, benefits, etc. so very much easier to deal with. For the right person, I will consider sponsoring you for immigration to Canada. So that is my ideal. I am also happy to hear from anyone with more / less general IT experience and more/less WO experience.

What you will be doing
As a consulting and contract development company, we work on a wide variety of projects, doing both maintenance work and creating new solutions. While the bulk of the work is WebObjects development, we do expect the development staff to have some involvement in analysis, specification, and (mostly automated) testing. Work is usually done remotely (which is why I don't care where you want to live), with occasional face to face meetings.

Who we are
Global Village Consulting Inc. (GVC) is an informatics consulting and software development company. With recognized experts in Health, Public Health, Information Management, and Enterprise Application Development, GVC focuses on providing the domain specific advice and direction required ensuring project success. We help our clients understand their information technology needs, manage the change required, and deliver on solutions either directly or as the vendor management team.

GVC’s head office is located in the Yaletown area of Vancouver BC and with consultants also working in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario. The company currently has 40+ technical, consulting and project management staff / contractors with plans to add additional staff and consulting resources throughout 2010-2013.

GVC believes in a company model that is open and enjoyable. This includes quality hardware and software, a friendly office, competitive wages, and, after a probationary period, a benefits package that includes generous profit sharing, extended health, dental, vision, transit subsidy and training subsidy.

If anyone is interested, send me a message (and a resume if you have a current one), and we can take it from there.

Thanks,

Chuck
