I was playing with the Ajax framework today (really cool btw) and I was wondering about where it's going. I know right now it's based off prototype.js and scriptaculous, but there's a large kickback in the prototype community because the framework extends the DOM. Prototype 2 is going to fix this, but requires fairly major rewrites. Just wondering if the framework would just be updated for prototype 2 or if that would be taken as an opportunity to move to something else like jQuery.
