You have to configure wotaskd and javamonitor to use localhost as the WOHost:
cat /System/Library/WebObjects/JavaApplications/wotaskd.woa/Contents/Resources/Properties
...
WOHost=localhost
And then do the same in your app.

Hi,
I have a new mac that I'm attempting to set up my development environment on. This computer came with Lion preinstalled.
I also download the mod_webobjects.so from
and replaced the one that came with the Apple installer.
I can see womonitor at localhost:56789
and I can see wotaskd's configuration at localhost:1085
If I ps aux | grep ja
but when I try to run an application from Eclipse I get the dreaded "No instance available" error. In my launch configuration I've set the four property changes, WOPort, WOAdapter, DirectConnect and WOHost.
Any ideas on where I could be going wrong? Should I compile mod_Webobjects.so on my machine?
Thanks in advance,
Johnny Miller
