Disable Back button in IE and Safari Browser

Dear All,

How to disable back button when user clicks browser back button,

the formal way is "window.history.forward() and window.history.go()"  are working with normal html pages... but when implemented with webobjects its giving "webpage is expired".

can any one suggest on this.
