What you are saying seems counter to what I'm seeing. Those two pieces of code seem to make everything work. Can you give me an example of a situation where this code is going to come back to ... go all Deliverance on me?
Yes, I realize that I should just take your word for it, but it really doesn't help me better understand Wonder if you just say "don't do that" without an explanation of exactly what sort of hideous demon I'm summoning forth (besides a chainsaw-wielding bunny) with this code.

Hmmm. It wouldn't be the first time I've been accused of abusing WO/Wonder. I _am_ trying to stop. It's just that sometimes I have to show my authority with a shared editing context, or maybe a little vertical inheritance here and there, but only when it really asks for it.
