i didn't do it because i didn't feel like there was enough granularity in the copy controls ... if i was going to do it now, i think i'd write a copy method that took a subclass of ERXKeyFilter (ERXCloneFilter or something) that used ERXKeyFilter traversal to specify what to shallow copy vs what to deep copy vs what not to copy. i probably would extract code from ERXRestRequestNode into some more generic concept of an ERXKeyTraversal that took a root object and a filter and did delegate callbacks ... or something ...
