Use the Getting Started Screencasts here:
Once you get your head around concepts of WO, it is easy - and, by all accounts, it is apparently more productive and more powerful than many of the popular java web enterprise frameworks.
The development tools have progressed madly (in a good way) for many years, hence why it is easy to find out of date documentation when it comes to development tools.
Any documentation related to WebObjects frameworks themselves (from a Java perspective) will be pretty accurate since progress on the framework side of things has been taking place in Project Wonder (large open source frameworks that extend the functionality of the core WebObjects frameworks)
Practical WebObjects (search Amazon) is probably the best book out there, but it is geared

Subject says it all.
I took a java programming class years ago. I did not continue with it. Since then, my only programming experience has been with Realbasic, and that too was years ago. Now, I've decided to jump into webobjects. I have eclipse and WO 543 on intel mac. I can
run a simple "hello world" program.
I find myself stuck. The instructions say: "So, to add a variable to keep track of our visitors name, click on the 'Interface' menu bar item and select 'Add Key...'."
I have no "interface menu bar item". I can't find it anywhere, nor can I find any instructions on how to add a variable. Do I just type it in? Is there a resource for total newbs using current WO implementation, or is it an 'idiots need not apply' type of thing?
If this is the wrong
mailing list, my apologies.
