The Direct Connect web server is limited, there are some things that it does not do. It is not a full web server implementation.

"text/x-component";
No there is no error
thrown, but this still does not really help: now there is
additionally a DirectAction called "none"-Action when
the css is accessed.
IE seems to access the url in an unexpected way, or twice, or
whatever.
With IE any thing is possible. Try quotes around the URL.
