Kill the app, delete preferences, try again.  I don't do cocoa/xcode so I haven't got any clue why it fails or how to fix it.  

Sometimes I get no window. Sometimes I get a blank window-ish looking thing that turns into a window if I switch to another app and then back.  Haven't had any trouble out of it lately, but it happens to me.
