Yeah, I agree it's strange.
I'm using the Jenkins Git Plugin <https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Git+Plugin> version 1.1.15. I'm pretty sure it doesn't use a special version of Git.
I'm working around the issue by running the two scripts through fromdos before executing them - yeah, I know, ugly.
