Another viewpoint might be that only a few rare apps need > 2GB upload size, so like everything else in Wonder, the person who needs a new feature should implement it (themselves or via contractor) and then do a pull request perhaps? I don't need this, and I don't know if I will ever need it, but the day I need it in one of my apps is the day I would work on implementing it.
BTW, if the community was going to fund projects, it might be a good idea to pick the github Issues with the most votes. I don't think github issues has voting like JIRA had, so people can just add a '+1' comment on the Issue discussion maybe.
Anyway, that was just a few thoughts to add to the discussion
