D2JC EOTabSwitchController

  • Subject: D2JC EOTabSwitchController

Hi all. I wondered if I could request some help again.

As I've mentioned before, the thing I'm doing now is writing an API
that's inspired by D2W and D2JC. So while I'm not actually using the
latter at the moment, I am trying to understand how it is designed to
work.

I'm looking into EOTabSwitchController at the moment. Assume in my
D2JC app I've got an edit form for an entity called Student. There's a
lot of fields in the Student entity that can be edited, so I want a
tab view, with the student's personal information on one page, and
their medical information on another. Using the rules system, how
would I do that?

From reading the docs, I've worked out how to do it via freezing the
page and editing the XML — but it must be possible via rules too. Any
ideas?

Amy
