I thought great... Duser.name is just what I need! But,,,,

ERXProperties has found the following Properties files:
  JavaJDBCAdaptor.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/JavaJDBCAdaptor.framework/Resources/Properties
  JavaEOControl.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/JavaEOControl.framework/Resources/Properties
  JavaDirectToWeb.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/JavaDirectToWeb.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERModernDirectToWeb.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERModernDirectToWeb.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERJavaMail.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERJavaMail.framework/Resources/Properties
  QualifierAdditions.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/QualifierAdditions.framework/Resources/Properties
  Ajax.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/Ajax.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERDirectToWeb.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERDirectToWeb.framework/Resources/Properties
  WOLips.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/WOLips.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERExcelLook.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERExcelLook.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERModernDefaultSkin.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERModernDefaultSkin.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERPrototypes.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERPrototypes.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERAttachment.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERAttachment.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERTaggable.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERTaggable.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERCoolComponents.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERCoolComponents.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERExtensions.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERExtensions.framework/Resources/Properties
  ExcelGenerator.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ExcelGenerator.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERModernLook.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERModernLook.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERPDFGeneration.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERPDFGeneration.framework/Resources/Properties
  ERDirectToRest.framework -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Frameworks/ERDirectToRest.framework/Resources/Properties
  PI.app -> /usr/local/woapps/PI.woa/Contents/Resources/Properties
ERXProperties currently has the following properties:
  //er.attachment.file.filesystemPath=/var/www/html/mwf/images/${hash}/${pk}${ext}
  //er.attachment.file.webPath=/mwf/images/${hash}/${pk}${ext}

 Duser.name=rhodes

The user name was taken, however, it is still using the last PI.app Properties file?

Thanks
James

Hello -

My client has a new server over at rackspace and I have it ready to fire up.
However, my additional arguments for pointing at the database are not
overriding the Properties file.

I thought they were supposed to, are they not?

Otherwise, is there a way to tie a Properties file to the server in deployment?
Something like Properties.user which I use in development.

.user is an convention. For example, for wocommunity, I use Properties.prod and in the arguments for the apps, I use -Duser.name prod

You can also use the properties in /etc/WebObjects, so if your app is called MyApp, the properties will need to be in /etc/WebObjects/MyApp/Properties
