I always deployed installing the JDK and I remember in the old days I had problems in Windows deployment with JRE.
Could a good soul clarify it for me?
Just to add to the other anecdotal data points: we deploy on out-of-the-box Amazon Linux, which ships with a JRE only. Zero problems.
