Definitely far from normal. I don't have any of these dramatic issues. I run in direct connect in development (ever since MS said it's cool :-) ).
You have something else going on.

Now, thanks to Wonder and the great work you all have being doing, it is so much better to work with WO that every new day makes me love WO even more. I am not aware of anything better then these frameworks we use.

After asking for help and talking to different people in the list, I decided to, once more, create a new empty workspace and copy my projects into it. So, guess what? My applications began to work again with no problems whatsoever. But for how long?

The worse problems I had in the last two weeks I was able to track to a change in the configuration of WOLips, where I changed the setup to work with Apache instead of direct connect. When I moved back to the direct connect setup I was able to work again, with some problems and annoyances, but was working again after some days of lost work. This is a very clear sign that my system's configuration is bad.
