ssl from iOS error? OT?

I am developing a push server.

I have created a bunch of rest calls, etc., 

When I test them via RESTClient in firefox they work.
However, when I test from my iOS client  I get the following error:

[2013-6-15 14:48:3 CDT] <WorkerThread0> javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: Remote host closed connection during handshake

I have tested the client on a competitors server and it works. So I think I can rule out the ios client.

Thoughts?
