ERRest is fine, but check out ERSync. if you can get it to work!
I have not solved this problem you describe.
If I have multiple part creates, I cannot store them locally and reinstantiate them on the server with proper IDs
I'm not certain how ERSync handles this, but it is one of the questions I've had about it.
