Hi,
I wrote a summary of the feedback we got from the 2013 surveys:
http://wiki.wocommunity.org/display/WOCOM/WOCommunity+2013+Organization+Survey
http://wiki.wocommunity.org/display/WOCOM/WOCommunity+2013+Individual+Survey
Quick notes:
- Either a lot of places in the USA didn't answer the survey, or half of organizations who answered the surveys last year in the USA stopped using WO in the last 12 months. Total of developers for the USA last year was 94, now it's down to 49. Same thing for France.
- Usage of OS X Server is going down (good!), usage of Debian/Ubuntu Linux is going up.
- Looks like 92% of the community are or will do iOS development.
- jQuery usage is at 62%, the Ajax framework from Wonder at 80%. We really need a jQuery framework.
- Main reasons to drop WO is lack of developers and because it's not open source.
