John/David, many thanks for your responses. On reflection with what you have said, I will probably leave well alone on the client side for now and keep to vanilla WO. There have always been JC bugs, though workarounds always possible and I find it very flexible and effective, using a Swing interface (JFormDesigner is great). I am sure new technologies are finally overtaking WO/JC but I still feel there is life in the old dog yet!Yes, Wonder will work on the client. But like David said it is somewhat of a mine-field because the some code in Wonder is not client-safe, but you won't know until it blows up.
Sounds like you already have a JavaClient app. If so, go for it. If you're writing something new or are open to more change you would probably be better off using Cayenne along with it's ROP support which is an alternative to EOF for Java client apps. It has bugs too, but probably not as many as JavaClient and at least you can fix them.
