WO 5.4 is pure java. There is nothing to convert.

When you switch to Eclipse and install the WOLips plugin it will work. You don’t need to convert anything.

Get Eclipse version 3.7.x and WOLips.

If you have a WebObjects application, you are probably talking to a database, if so that uses the entity relational mapping layer of WebObjects called EOF.

The display layer of the stack builds UI elements using WOComponents (each comprised of a chunk of HTML, it’s associated Java and a bindings file (.wod) to tie them together), and has classes to handle session management etc.

If by “pure java” you mean “unencumbered by Apple’s frameworks” then you are faced with rewriting your application to use a different ERM layer and display layer. Perhaps Tapestry/Cayenne. Regardless, this is not a simple undertaking.
