There are a number of resources (e.g., Jenkins build server, API documentation, Confluence) that I am sure any number of businesses still tied to WebObjects would not want to see disappear. Exactly how much money does the WOCommunity Association need to remain viable and, in particular, to keep those online resources running?

I’m not done yet, but a quicky:
- We have $19,604.89 in the bank
- Still need to pay $17,435.38 for WOWODC 2014
- Shopify and FreshBooks for the remaining year: $348.52
- iWeb (hosting provider) bill (June 30th): ~ $900
- Sale taxes to pay back to governments: $167
- MasterCard payment (I pay the iWeb, FreshBooks and Shopify bills on my MC): $596 (this is excluding the amount of future months)
So a « profit » of... $157.99. And we will need someone to prepare the income taxes report, which will probably cost ~ $350, which mean we will be $150 in the red.
As for the server, we need:
- At least 6 GB of RAM.
- At least 250 GB of disk space, in RAID 1 (I wouldn’t never run a server without RAID-1, 5 or 10). We have two 500 GB right now.
- 500 GB of bandwidth per month (those podcasts…). The current server have a limit of 20 TB per month.
- Linux if possible (I really don’t understand why people deploy on OS X).
- 100 Mbps port.
We can keep iWeb and switch to a new server while saving $350 on the next bill.
