did anyone do this upgrade? I did and I am having problems when I create new projects.

basically, a new project complains about JRebel. First, any project that was working before the update continues to work just fine. I just created a new project and enabled JRebel and I get:

Has anyone seen this.

Before I reinstall the old version of Eclipse I thought I would ask.

Hi Theodore.

The problem is with JRebel. You need to uninstall the JRebel-plugin you currently have (from “About Eclipse”->”Installation Details") and then re-install a little older version from this update site:

http://update.zeroturnaround.com/update-site-archive/update-site-5.6.1.SR1/

ZeroTurnaround is aware of the issue and says they’ll fix it in a coming release.

Cheers,
- hugi

thanks, I uninstalled JRebel and used the link for 5.6.1. My app comes up and it says:

A newer version '5.6.3a' is available for download
2014-10-01 11:12:32 JRebel: from http://zeroturnaround.com/software/jrebel/download/

then the app crashes vp.getMethod(String, Class<?> .. . line 744

I think I will shelve JRebel for a while so I can get some work done. I lost more time on this the last two days to account for all the time I gained by using JRebel in the first place.

Thanks for making me stop!!

Ted
