force-reload component templates to running app?

  • Subject: force-reload component templates to running app?

Hello there,

is there a trick to force an application instance which is running with WOCachingEnabled to reload the templates? Eg. by signalling it, or something like that?

The use case: a tester finds a small bug in templates (say, a typo), and wants to make a rapid fix at the test site. I log in remotely in there, make the fix using a plaintext editor, and... have to restart the instance, which is rather inconvenient.

Of course I could run WOCachingEnabled=NO at the test site, but since the scenario happens pretty rarely, I would rather prefer to be able to explicitly say to the instance „hey, reload them now“, if possible.

Thanks a lot,
OC
