Black magic.
Some ideas:
1) isolate the server running the WO java apps. Look at the .plist files and your properties to see how it’s connecting to the DB. Probably you have some other DB running somewhere.
2) If all else fails unplug your WO server from the Internet. Stand in front of it and connect to your app using a web browser and the server. Look at the logs and see what IP address it is now not able to connect to.
3) Is it possible that the WO apps and DB are on the same machine? Maybe it’s just not the DB you expected but a different one.
4) Maybe you are doing lots of caching and have no need to save data in the past three days? Seems unlikely - do something that specifically requires data to be saved, close your web browser by quitting it completely (not just the window) - starting it up and then finding the data change you made. If it is there then likely it is saving to a DB just not the one you expected.
5) May the 4th be with you.
