Well, I was finally able to get, what I believe is, a good build of the
mod_WebObjects.so for Solaris in 64 bit for Apache 2.4. At least JBoss EWS is
now starting without giving me an error.
However, I can’t seem to get it to serve any of my pages. I guessing that I
now have an issue with my JBoss EWS configuration or I have something wrong in
the configuration. I’m seeing the following error when I access a page:
Mon Jun 12 20:14:37.983283 2017] [core:notice] [pid 19787:tid 1] AH00052: child
pid 19836 exit signal Bus error (10)
I have the following in my APPINCLUDE.conf file:
Include /usr/local/apache2/conf/webobjects.conf
<Location /woapp >
SetHandler WebObjects
Require all granted
AcceptPathInfo on
LimitRequestBody 0
SSLOptions -FakeBasicAuth -ExportCertData -StrictRequire -StdEnvVars
</Location>
Does anyone know if there is additional information that I need in the
APPINCLUDE.conf file? Any other suggestions on getting WebObjects working with
JBoss EWS?
Thanks,
Terry Soles

that, I think is the only way you are going to get the adapter compiled. Too
bad you can not use this as the raison d’être to move to AWS now. I have
successfully compiled the adapter on AWS as well as copied a compiled version
from my mac.
good luck

Ted and Paul,
Thank you for your suggestions. At this point, we are required to use Solaris.
We have plans to move to AWS and Linux but that will likely be late this year.
I did get a compiler installed on our Solaris server so I will be working on
compiling the adaptor this week. I’ll let you know if I am successful.

Paul makes a wonderful observation about looking at other platforms. I can
recommend from experience that esxi from VMWare is fantastic. you can run
multiple instances of differing OSs to audition them.
And it’s free!!!!

Hi Terry,
While I know there’s nothing worse than asking a very specific question on a
technical mailing list and having people tell you that you shouldn’t be doing
it that way...

I did and it is not working. I am going back to trying to build it but I have

it on a Mac was correct.
Is Solaris a fixed requirement here? In the time it’s taken me to type this
email, we could have had you up and running on some other OS.
