Pascal,

I am logged into AWS right now and I don’t see where I could set to use Centos on AWS. But maybe I don’t understand something. What I see is:

Amazon Linux AMI 2017.03.0 (HVM), or
SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP2, or
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.3 (HVM), or
Ubuntu Server 16.04 LTS, or
Windows

I just googled and found this:
https://www.exratione.com/2014/08/do-not-use-amazon-linux/

That said, this is the only free distro they offer. I may pay whatever it is for a month and see if installing is very different.

Of the choices, which would you recommend?

Ted
