Hi Maik,
it is not compatible with the autocomplete functionality.
Scriptaculous has an AutoComplete ability that is used by WOnder’s
AjaxAutoComplete.
For us we implemented a type of drop down widget based on partially typing an
address with suggestions that guessed the zip code, etc so you could just pick
something. It suddenly stopped showing the autocomplete options without any
java errors and without any javascript errors in the browser. It just stopped
working.
That was with 1.7.3 of Prototype.js — I did not try 1.7.2 — I went directly for
1.7.0 because that is the last blessed version by Scriptaculous.
I understand and read the other reports of third party libs requiring Prototype
1.7.3 - so I’m not sure what to do here for general case. There is no easy
solution that will make everyone happy especially since Scriptaculous appears
to have no further updates.
