zombie processes

Hi.
OS 10.2.4 and X11 0.3 here. Today I discovered that every time I quit X11, there is a zombie process left behind that can't be killed. I'd heard about this with previous X11 versions, but I'd never noticed it before. I can't even kill them as root because the pid doesn't exist. Any suggestions?
Cheers, Joe Heafner
