No idea. The default presumably.
You sent an error report to xemacs-crashes earlier, did
anyone offer help from that?
No. My bug report to Apple also elicited no response.
What happens when you enter the following at
the xterm prompt?
/path/to/xemacs -vanilla
It fails in the same way.
Note that this happens on two different computers: an 800MHz G4 iMac
and a 700MHz iBook, both with ample memory. Also, xemacs does run
under OroborOSX (with the same X11 binaries) and it ran fine with
previous versions of Apple's window manager.
By the way, I was never able to get a 21.4 version of XEmacs to run
reliably
under XDarwin/Oroborosx on my PB G4 (800 MHz, 768 ram) with or without
fink.
XEmacs is very finnicky about its environment, and many platforms do
not
have pre-compiled binaries because of problems with dumping.
I couldn't get the 21.4 files to compile, but from 21.5.9 forward the
beta
version has compiled and run fine (except for some CVSs of 21.5.10).
This is not encouraging at all.
