Hi Everyone,
Sorry if this is an obvious or old question. I searched the archives
but could not find an answer.
I'm having a weird problem in X11 Beta 3 with applications not
"remembering" their window sizes. Specifically, if I launch pan or
xchat and resize the window to my liking and then close the
application, the next time the same application is launched its window
becomes slightly longer at the bottom than it was the last time (the
amount of the lengthening is about the height of the menu bar). If I
don't resize it back to the way I like it, the next time it is launched
it will grow longer still. This continues until the bottom of the
window stretches off the screen and I have to use the green zoom button
to get the window back on the screen and resize the window again.
Has anyone else seen this or can suggest a solution (besides specifying
-geometry parameters on the command line for every X11 app)? I don't
think this happened before in Beta 2 but I can't be sure.
I'm on Jaguar 10.2.4, iBook G3 800, have fink 0.5.2 installed, and my
Dock is set to autohide at the bottom of the screen.
Thanks in advance,
Ken
