Other people have given you the answer you're looking for, but I'll suggest something slightly different:

fink install rxvt

Rxvt is a nicer xterm than xterm, in my opinion. And the scrollbar is a normal Motif scrollbar, instead of the bizzare Athena thing that xterm uses. Then change "Terminal" in X11's menu to start rxvt. The first terminal will still be an xterm, but you can just close it and start up rxvt.

Is there a special command line to use rxvt? I installed it and started in from an xterm - it looks great! The only thing is that entering "rxvt" instead of "xterm" in the Applications menu for X11 is not launching rxvt for me.
