To install maxima, I need to activate the unstable tree.
I found a unstable direction in /sw/fink/10.2/unstable and
/sw/fink/dists/.
You should better ask such questions on the fink mailing lists
http://fink.sourceforge.net/lists/index.php
Anyway I edited /sw/etc/fink.conf like bellows,
# Fink configuration, initially created by bootstrap.pl
Basepath: /sw
RootMethod: sudo
Trees: local/main stable/main stable/crypto local/bootstrap unstable
unstable/main
unstable/crypto
The "unstable" alone is not useful here. Is "unstable/crypto" really on
the same line as the others?
Distribution: 10.2
Then type fink list, but i can not found a maxima phrases in the list.
Maybe you need to type "fink index" to bring the internal database up to
date. Do you have the file
/sw/fink/dists/unstable/crypto/finkinfo/maxima-5.9.0.0-1.info ?
