After some trying I found out that you are right. GhostScript and
Gimp-Print solve the problem.
Thank you very much for your help!

Hello everybody!
I am a new user of OpenOffice for Mac. The programme functions
apparently very well but I cannot print from it with my Epson because
the printer doesn4t understand PostScript. Does anybody know how to
solve this problem, is there a strip out there somewhere? Or is it
X11 that has to be set up differently?

Perhaps gimp print will help you out...
Not sure though.
