I have tried to follow the installation procedure:

It just wont go.
This is the part I need help with 'E: Sub-process /sw/bin/dpkg returned
an error code (1)' no idea what this means or how to go about fixing it.
This is my first go at installing X

You have to install system-xfree86 so that the Fink dependencies are
