Or, take advantage of similar software collections specifically for OS
X:
http://fink.sourceforge.net/
http://www.opendarwin.org/projects/darwinports/
Fink, for example, has over 2600 UNIX and X11 applications that have
been ported to, or otherwise made to work on, OS X. Some items may not
yet be available, but more and more are available every day.

If you downloaded these things from the FreeBSD website, the programs
will almost certainly need to be re-compiled for Mac OS X. If you
don't know how to do this, you should either not attempt to or have a
friendly programmer at your side.

I had installed 'X11' v0.2, and then went to
'<http://WWW.FREEbsd.org/ports/index.html >' - where I downloaded the
15 MB File of 'current 8207 Ports in the FreeBSD Ports Collection' -
via
'ftp://ftp.FreeBSD.org/pub/FreeBSD/branches/-current//ports.tar.gz'.
I now have a Folder titled 'ports' and its associated decompressed
SubFolders. One of the SubFolders is titled 'Games', which contains
the 'affenspiel' Folder.
Please provide me with a Step 01 to Step XX procedure on getting from
the Contents in 'affenspiel' to an Application that I can actually
run - via 'X11'. Any and all help is gratefully appreciated.
Thank you.
