X11 beta 0.2 fails to launch from anywhere but Administrator's account

Has anyone else observed the following behaviour with beta 0.2 (that
didn't exist with beta 0.1).
-X11 launches just fine from the Administrator's account (used to
install X11) but fails from other accounts with the following console
msg:
Fatal server error:
Could not create server lock file: /tmp/.X0-lock
OsVendorFatalError
AbortDDX
Quitting XDarwin...
